A prayerful pause at the end of the week

A brief reflection on the questions, “Jesus, where have you been helping me be present to you, others, and my soul this week? How have you been inviting me to come to you for rest this week?”

There’s an old song my daughter, the former camp counselor, loves to sing whenever we have the chance to sit around a campfire together these days. I honestly can’t remember the name of the song or most of the (highly addictive) lyrics, but this morning, there’s one part of the song that’s running circles in whatever part of my brain that conjures up random snatches of music out of the blue.

Can’t go over it / Can’t go under it / Gotta go through it.
