Happy New Year’s Eve, Restful friends! It takes almost more attention and discipline to feast than fast. Maybe this is because longing is more familiar than the contentment and shalom we savor when celebrating well. I'm grateful for the countless "good-enough" celebrations in my lifetime that whetted my appetite for the great festival of Home, which we look forward to enjoying forever.
