We’ve been delighted to receive a few more Christmas cards this week. You know what I didn’t think when I opened my mailbox? It’s the second week of January, and these people are just now sending me a card!

When I was growing up, my mother always sent her annual family newsletter on New Year's. If not for the tradition of sending cards at Christmas, I think my mother’s method makes a bit more sense. Even if you sent Christmas cards, you might have some people with whom you’d like to share more news than you had time to write in mid-December. And probably all of us have some thank you notes we could send.
